About The Noise

Starting in 2021, Cast Off Form's sonic explorations were primarily driven by curiosity.

What happens if you hook up a contact mic to an ink jet printer? Can you make a harsh noise track with nothing more than a tin can? How much can you do with an acoustic guitar?

As the work continues, these aural endeavors are being forged into densely layered conceptual pieces.

The highest aspiration however, is not a sound, but an way of being (or non-being). One that resists fixed identities and neatly categorized genres. In that respect, Cast Off Form is as much a practice as it is a project.
